Neuropathy


Neuropathy can be defined as  functional disturbance or degenerative state of peripheral nervous system,  

Causes of  Neuropathy


  1. Trauma or pressure on nerves
  2. Nutritional problems
  3. Alcoholism
  4. Autoimmune diseases
  5. Other diseases and infections(such as kidney disease, liver disease, , HIV/AIDS, or an under-active thyroid (hypothyroidism))
  6. hereditary neuropathies
  7. Poison exposure like:  toxins such as heavy metals, and certain medications 
  8. Cancer treatments
Risk Factors :

  •  People with diabetes who donot care  their blood sugar levels are very likely to suffer from some neuropathy. 
  • Autoimmune diseases  also increase one's chance of developing a neuropathy. 
  • People :received organ transplants
  • People:Suffreing from AIDS
